Jo Shepherd has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer for a heating, ventilation and air conditioning business, Groupe Atlantic, with an international remit.
Jo, 39, moves internally from her previous position as Marketing Director and has been tasked with leading marketing activity for eight strategic brands and disrupting the consumer market in the UK for their main brand, Ideal Boilers.
Since joining Groupe Atlantic in February this year, Jo has made an immediate impact, recruiting a completely new marketing team and negotiating a sponsorship with West Bromwich Albion, complete with the now infamous ‘Boiler Man’ mascot.
The University of Hull graduate previously worked at Boots, Dolland & Aitchison, Smith & Nephew and US soccer club The Jacksonville Armada based in Florida. As an experienced marketeer, Shepherd has managed ‘above the line’ campaigns spanning national TV advertising, community engagement, social and digital outreach and brand management.
Jo says: “I will be looking to apply the consumer knowledge and experience I have gained during my career to what has been up until this point a very traditional sector. That’s how I intend to lead us into a new approach to marketing, while continuing to build our reputation in the trade.
“We have already shown with Boiler Man that there is massive potential to get consumer cut-through. The trade and consumer audiences are equally important to us and that’s the challenge I’m really looking forward to.”
Shepherd’s appointment will see her manage eight domestic and commercial brands under Groupe Atlantic across North America, the UK and ROI.
