Walsall-based UK home assistance provider boosts its support for its home town club, extending its status as principal partner until the 2021/2022 season
New deal includes shirt branding for the next five years as well as other itinerary
Walsall-based home assistance provider HomeServe Membership has put pen to paper on a new deal to continue as the principal partner of Walsall Football Club for the next five years.
The deal will see the club’s new 2017/18 shirt, which will be unveiled in June, adorned with HomeServe branding on the front and back as well as other itinerary.
HomeServe Membership, which employs 1,700 people at its headquarters in Cable Drive, Walsall, and a further 1,500 around the UK, has been a proud supporter of The Saddlerssince signing its first sponsorship deal with the League One side in 2014.
The new deal will run until the end of the 2021/22 season, taking HomeServe’s support to eight years and making it the firm’s longest ever community sponsorship commitment.
“This deal cements our dedication to supporting a football club that is woven into the fabric of our home town,” said HomeServe Membership Chief Marketing Officer Greg Reed.
“We’ve been based in Walsall for over 20 years and we’re passionate about investing in local business and giving something back to our community. It’s important to us and it’s a huge part of who we are.
“This club is the heartbeat of our community and its family-focused ethos makes it a perfect partner for HomeServe.
“On top of that, many of our People are big Saddlers supporters and we can’t wait to seeour new logo on the club’s new shirt when it’s revealed next month – and on the club’s kits for the next five years.”
Walsall finished the 2016/17 season in 14th place in League One – but with HomeServe’s unwavering support, Walsall FC Chief Executive Stefan Gamble says the club is targeting an improved showing next term.
“HomeServe and Walsall FC are two organisations with deep-rooted connections to our town, so we’re incredibly proud they have agreed to extend their deal as the club’s principal partner for the next five years,” Stefan said. “We’ve enjoyed an incredibly close and successful relationship over the past three years and to us this new deal is so much more than just a sponsorship.
“Like HomeServe we have a special relationship with our local community and to know that we have the unwavering and continued support of the town’s biggest employer gives us the confidence that we’ve got a bright future ahead of us both on and off the pitch.”
