Just over £1,150 has been raised by Staffordshire-based heating and plumbing product manufacturer Inta, who turned themselves, and their products, pink for the day for leading charity Breast Cancer Now.
Staff at Inta, including their sales, purchasing, warehouse and technical teams, all took part in a variety of activities to raise money for the cause, in the ‘Wear it Pink’ day on Friday 21st October.
As well as wearing head-to-toe pink, hosting a raffle and a pink cupcake auction, staff also took part in the highly anticipated ‘Great Inta Bake Off’ where their trusty kitchen creations were tasted, and sold, all in the name of charity.
Other competitions included ‘Get Your Chest Out’, where staff had to guess from a picture of a famous individual, who the celebrity was from the snapshot of their chest.
The firm also turned its acclaimed range of Zilmet Expansion Vessels pink to mark the occasion.
Emma Domanski, Sales Administrator at Inta and organiser of the day’s festivities, said:
“From all the dedicated reps out on the roads to the incredible staff in the office, it was truly brilliant to see everyone getting involved although the standard of baking might not have been up there with those on the real Bake Off, we certainly tried our best.”
Stuart Gizzi, Director at Intatec said:
“We couldn’t be happier to have raised over £1,000 for Breast Cancer Now. The only time our Zilmet heating vessels aren’t red is when they are painted pink for charity, and they really look great. We are proud to be able to help support such a great cause in our own way, and our staff really enjoyed the day too.”
