Fernox Launches Updated Express Range With Enhanced Formulation In Recyclable Canisters

Fernox Express Range

Fernox has re-launched its Express range of chemicals, packing in even more active ingredients and increasing the dosage with new 400ml, recyclable canisters. Every product in the range is now able to protect a system up to 130 litres (or up to 16 radiators) and the equivalent of 250m2 of underfloor systems; reducing the risk of under-dosing significantly.

The Express range of Fernox chemical water treatment products is a quick and convenient way of treating a central heating system. Pressurised to 12 bar, Fernox Express can dose into a pressurised system without the need for drain down, saving time on-site especially when servicing a system and topping-up on inhibitor at annual maintenance time.

Fernox Rebrands Inhibitor Packaging

Following the acquisition of BuildCert by NSF International, Fernox, the leading manufacturer of chemical water treatment products, will be changing the packaging of its inhibitors to incorporate the new NSF logo. Plumbing and heating professionals will start to see the new branding on its products from 2020.

Founded in 1998, BuildCert is a provider of mechanical and materials certification services for the plumbing and building industries, including the Chemical Inhibitor Approval Scheme (CIAS).

The phased rebrand of BuildCert to NSF International aims to expand the international recognition of products certified by the BuildCert team. While the BuildCert mark is well known in the UK, the NSF International mark has greater recognition across the globe.

Powerflushing made simple

Powerflushing made simple

The new Fernox TF1 Omega Filter Flushing Adapter provides a simple and convenient way to attach any powerflushing machine with a standard 3/4” BSP connection to a central heating system via a Fernox TF1 Omega Filter. The adapter replaces the filter body and allows a full flow rate powerflush to be achieved quickly and efficiently.

The Fernox TF1 Omega Filter Flushing Adapter is rated up to 85°C. For systems with a combination boiler, powerflushing via the filter connection has the added benefit of allowing the primary side of the secondary heat exchanger to be cleaned. This can be achieved by turning the hot water tap on to engage the boiler diverter valve.
