Leading Staffordshire manufacturer Inta has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award for the eighth year running.

Hixon-based Inta, which manufactures heating, plumbing and bathroom products, is a finalist in the 25th anniversary Heating & Ventilation News Awards 2018, which celebrate excellence and innovation across the building services industry.

It has been shortlisted in the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) Product of the Year - Heating Peripherals category for its Inta X-Mag filter system, which was introduced at the Ecobuild show last spring to huge interest from the plumbing and heating sectors.

Leading heating and plumbing products manufacturer Inta has introduced a unique transparent push-fit connector for underfloor heating (UFH) manifolds, which promises to make a complex job much quicker and easier.

Part of the Inta’s brand new ‘PresBloc’ product range, the connector enables installers to be certain that it is properly in place and secure before it is switched on and pressure tested, thus avoiding leaks. Designed as a universal fitting, the connector can be used with any manifold - including polymer, stainless steel and brass.

Inta has also introduced a range of low voltage actuators for UFH manifolds, for which the power consumption is just 1 Watt compared to the industry-standard of 1.5-2 Watt, meaning end users will benefit from lower energy bills.

Inta, the UK’s leading supplier to the plumbing and heating sectors, has launched an industrial-strength magnetic filter system. 

The X-Mag is the all-in-one filter system designed for plant room installations where space is limited and for locations where it is critical that heating systems are kept as clean and efficient as possible. 

Introduced at the Ecobuild show in March to huge interest from the plumbing and heating sectors, it is now available to purchase for the first time.

The magnetic filter is designed and manufactured by Inta and features its hallmark quality standards, with multiple inlet configurations and a large filter to capture more dirt.

Just over £1,150 has been raised by Staffordshire-based heating and plumbing product manufacturer Inta, who turned themselves, and their products, pink for the day for leading charity Breast Cancer Now.

Staff at Inta, including their sales, purchasing, warehouse and technical teams, all took part in a variety of activities to raise money for the cause, in the ‘Wear it Pink’ day on Friday 21st October.

As well as wearing head-to-toe pink, hosting a raffle and a pink cupcake auction, staff also took part in the highly anticipated ‘Great Inta Bake Off’ where their trusty kitchen creations were tasted, and sold, all in the name of charity.
