Focal Point Fires, the UK’s largest manufacturer of fuel effect fires, has appointed Phillip Wicks as its new managing director.
Phillip (pictured), who has been working with Focal Point Fires for over sixteen years, will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations including sales, design, research and development, finance, production, quality control, and personnel and customer service.
Carl Richards, chairman of Focal Point Fires, commented: “Phillip has always been very conscientious, hardworking and loyal throughout his career and has always gone the ‘extra distance’ in so far as the company is concerned, travelling both nationally and internationally. We are delighted to have Phillip here as part of the team and see him progress his career.”
Having started on the factory floor assembling and testing gas fires, Phillip progressed through many different roles that allowed him the opportunity to learn and understand how the varied roles allow the company to operate successfully.
On facing his new role as managing director, Phillip added: “I’m delighted to be appointed to the role of MD and I look forward to developing the relationship with our customers and suppliers alike. I am very motivated by identifying key trends and looking for new opportunities in the markets we operate in.”
