Independent jobs and recruiting site, Glassdoor’s UK “Best Places to Work” list the only one based solely on the input of employees voluntarily providing feedback.
HomeServe named above Google, Apple and John Lewis in this year’s “Best Places to Work” list
HomeServe has today been named as one of the UK’s top three best companies to work for.
The UK home assistance provider, which has 2,900 employees and offices in Walsall, London, Preston, Nottingham and Banbury, was awarded third place in Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” list, the only UK study of workplaces based solely on the input of employees voluntarily providing feedback.
Only Expedia (first place) and ARM Holdings (second place) rated higher than HomeServe in the comprehensive study of businesses employing more than 1,000 staff led by independent jobs and recruiting marketplace company Glassdoor.
HomeServe’s ranking is based on independent feedback directly from their employees and puts them above Google, John Lewis, Apple, Unilever and Rolls Royce in this year’s list of the nation’s best companies.
HomeServe is the only company from the home assistance sector on this year’s top 50 list.
Greg Reed, Chief Marketing Officer, HomeServe, said; “For us at HomeServe, being named by Glassdoor as one of the top three best places to work in the UK is really special. Over the last three years, we have been on an incredible journey and have worked tirelessly to create an exceptional culture, one which is based on a really simple philosophy: you take care of your People, they will take care of your Customers and the rest will take care of itself. Best of all, it’s a culture that every single person in our company is proud to be a part of.”
Achieving a coveted top three place in the UK’s “Best Place to Work” list tops a stunning year for the HomeServe business in the UK. As well as reaching 2.2m Customers and seeing Customer satisfaction rise, and receiving multiple awards, the company was named as one of the top three companies in the UK for maintaining a good work/life balance among its workforce.
Earlier this year, HomeServe’s chief executive officer Martin Bennett was named joint winner of the coveted ‘Most People-Focused CEO” award at HR Magazine’s Excellence Awards. Martin also achieved a CEO approval rating of 95% on Glassdoor earlier this year, putting him in the top 20 of Glassdoor’s annual “highest rated CEO” rankings based on the confidential reviews of employees from 19,000 UK companies.
Creating a fun, happy, empowerment culture is something HomeServe has worked hard to achieve and HomeServe’s commitment to its People is underpinned by a unique set of People Promises in which everyone has an equal voice and the opportunity to get involved.
