Stiebel’s new integrated DHW and buffer cylinder saves space for homeowners

April 12, 2017

Heating products manufacturer Stiebel Eltron UK has launched a new space-saving integrated DHW and buffer cylinder.

The HSBC 200 S combines a buffer tank for space heating and a domestic hot water tank, and has been designed to work with radiators and underfloor heating systems.

The unit can be connected to the internet, allowing for remote monitoring and control, and features a WPM heat pump manager to regulate various functions. In addition, primary and secondary circulating pumps, electric back up, flow meter, pressure relief valves and diverter valve are all integral.

The HSBC’s contemporary design features sleek white casing and LED display, while high-grade thermal insulation ensures minimal heat loss.

Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK managing director, said: “Space is always at a premium in the UK home and this product had been developed specifically to minimize installation space. This is a great step forward in making heat pump technology accessible for UK home owners. The plug and play technology also makes it quick and easy to specify and install.

“Through our free design service, we can work with customers to identify whether the HSBC is a good fit for their system and follow this up with ongoing support and advice, as well as free commissioning for installations.”

The HSBC system comes as standard set up to supply a single heating circuit, with an additional pipe set available if a second mixed heating circuit is required.

This makes it possible to have two separate, weather-compensated, heating circuits; for example, if you have underfloor heating downstairs running at a lower flow temperature than wet radiators upstairs.

Stiebel Eltron UK recently announced strong growth in electric and water heating systems, with increased demand for space-saving products in both new-build and retrofit developments.
